positive quotes about life

I like to think that there are tipping points, little things that light a spark inside us. It’s that moment when you grasp things in their true magnitude, when you look at the world, at the person next to you, or at yourself, in a different way, because you’ve gained a different understanding. It’s that moment when something clicks and you realize that something has changed, even if nothing has apparently changed.

So now I would like to share with you some positive thoughts that will make us reflect and have all the winning cards to become the seed of change or can even be the activator of that internal click.

The best positive quotes about life

1. There can be no happiness if the things we believe are different from the things we do. – F. Stark.

We often put our dreams and goals in a drawer thinking that we will have time to be happy later. However, life is what happens while you are busy doing other things. Take some time and make sure that you are doing what you like and are passionate about, what can really make you happy. If not, maybe it is time to change course before it is too late.

2. In life, you must not seek yourself, you must create yourself. – GB Shaw

You have probably read or been told on more than one occasion that you should look for yourself. And although it is important to look inside ourselves and connect with our passions and needs, it is no less true that it is not a mere search but rather a recreation. It is not enough to know ourselves and know what we are made of, it is necessary to go a step further, we must change every day because only in this way can we grow. Therefore, knowing ourselves is only the first step, and that is where many stop because they do not dare to really change.

3. Setting out on a new path scares us, but after taking the first steps we understand how dangerous it would have been to remain still. – R. Benigni

In life, we either move forward and advance or we get caught up in the whirlwind of the past that sucks us back. Since everything is in constant motion, immobility is the most fallacious of beliefs because when you don’t move forward, staying in the same place means going backwards and becoming part of the past. However, regardless of what your decision is, always make sure that it is yours because not taking sides, staying still on the side of the road, means that others will decide for us. And that is the most direct path to repentance.

4. We do not see things as they are until we see ourselves as we are. – Anais Nin

We see life and the world through our mental filters, meaning our beliefs, stereotypes, thought patterns, expectations and fears. However, we insist on thinking that our vision is objective. This fallacy leads to the biggest disagreements in interpersonal relationships and the biggest failures because we try to adapt the world to us, instead of learning to adapt to the world. Understanding that our vision is biased is the first step to becoming more tolerant and happy people.

5. You are never too old to set a new goal or dream a new dream. – CS Lewis

If you didn’t know how old you were, how many things would you propose to yourself? What would you change right now in your life? Chronological age is often an obstacle because it brings with it a series of limitations and expectations imposed by society. However, in reality age is more of a psychological issue. We can add years to the calendar but not age. The key lies in nurturing positive thoughts, dreams and hopes, in continuing to be amazed as on the first day. Remember that the day you stop dreaming, you will begin to die.

6. No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. – E. Roosevelt

Our greatest joys come from interpersonal relationships, our greatest sorrows and resentments too. Yet we often don’t realize that we are the ones who give others the power to hurt us. Only when we give importance to something can that something resonate in our emotions and cause humiliation or shame. Remember that a person cannot make you feel inferior if somewhere inside you, you don’t already feel that way. People, their words and actions, often only amplify what is inside us.

7. You can only change yourself, but sometimes that changes everything. – Gary W Goldstein

Fighting against windmills may be tempting, but in the long run it is ineffective and unwise. Buddhist wisdom says that it is better to wear slippers than to carpet the world. Whether we like it or not, our ability to change society or people is very limited, so it is much more important to adapt ourselves. It is not about adopting a passive attitude but about changing our attitude, becoming more flexible and broadening our horizons. Sometimes this can change everything because the problem is often not others, but ourselves, even if we find it hard to admit it.

8. If you want to achieve permanent change, stop focusing on the size of your problems and start focusing on the size of your potential. – T. Harv Eker

Have you ever thought about how much energy and time you spend thinking about problems, imagining worst-case scenarios and worrying? However, worrying is like paying in advance (and with interest) a debt that we don’t know if it’s owed to us. If we used that energy and time to look for solutions, generate positive thoughts and identify our potential, we would move forward much faster and with less effort. It’s a change of perspective that is worth it.

9. Don’t let the fear of losing rob you of the joy of winning. – Robert Kiyosaki

There is nothing worse than wondering what would have happened if we had dared to take that path that we abandoned because of fear. Sometimes we want to be sure before making a decision and, as a result, we miss the opportunity. However, we will never have 100% certainty so there is always a dose of risk. People with courage, who dare to change their lives, are not those who are not afraid but those who value their happiness more than that fear, those who decide to overcome it despite everything.

10. The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. – Vidal Sassoon

Every achievement requires effort. Successful people have also had to give up many things and have had to fail many times before achieving their dream. Although often all we see is the result. Understanding that success is the result of constant work and several failed attempts will help us to mentally prepare ourselves and allow us to stay motivated even when things go wrong. Thinking that success is due to luck means never achieving it.

PS:  Reading these positive thoughts won’t change your life. You have to do that. But the fuse is already lit.
