Depression

Depression is one of the most frequent and disabling mental disorders. It is estimated that 5% of the population suffers from depression, but many more will suffer a depressive episode at some point in their lives. There are different types of depression, although the major depression is one of the most common. Reference can also be made to the endogenous depression or the recurrent depression, depending on the causes.

The symptoms of depression are not limited to sadness but include the loss of meaning, hopelessness and even suicidal ideas. It is important to stay tuned to the first signs of depression to seek help because if it passes a long time, it can become a treatment-resistant depression.

In some cases, psychotherapy is combined with antidepressant drugs to obtain faster and more stable results. In other cases, it is possible to treat depression by resorting to natural remedies and psychological techniques. Discover all about the causes of depression and how to get rid of depression.
