Sleep and Insomnia

Sleeping is essential for our health, both physical and psychological. During sleep the brain gets rid of the waste substances of the diurnal metabolism and we can reprocess the experiences lived during the day, subtracting their emotional impact to incorporate them into our life history.

Unfortunately, there are more and more people who can not sleep well, either because they have not developed a good sleep habit or because they suffer from some sleep problems, such as insomnia, a problem that affects almost 48% of adults. The effects of sleep deprivation provokes nervousness,  tiredness and drowsiness the next day, affecting all areas of your life. Therefore, it is important to know how to sleep well.

Find out what are the stages of sleep, the characteristics of the sleep awake cycle and the most common sleep disturbances. Deepen into the causes of insomnia, know how sleeping pills act and find the best natural ways to help you sleep and achieve a restoring sleep.
